My Annualized Dividend Income increased to $9,909 from $9,523 for the month of August. This means my dividend stocks will pay $9,909 in dividends over the next 12 months. I am closing in on my updated 2008 goal of $10,200 in yearly dividend income. I made additional purchases to our dividend stocks this month and I also used a 0% credit card offer for additional purchases. The updated income amount includes dividend increases paid in August by Kinder Morgan Energy Partners (KMP), Duke Energy (DUK) and Spectra Energy (SE).
Most of my stocks are held in my Zecco Trading account and the rest are DRIPs. The dividends from my stocks are reinvested but I am keeping track of the amount of income I could receive once I retire.

Well done. That is quite a feat for dividend income. I am still working hard on mine. Nothing compared to yours.
Anyway, do you have any idea whether foreigners are eligible for dividends in the US or Canadian stock market? If so, how are the dividends paid out?
Reason I am asking is because I realised that some of the dividend yields for US stocks and Canadian stocks are much higher compared to those in my country
In what country are you located? Can you purchase stocks on the NYSE?
Just found your site, really like it! Nice job on your dividend income as well. Sounds like you'll reach your goals.
I have a few questions as I'm a newbie to dividend investing.
How do you set things up so that you don't have to pay taxes on the yearly dividend income you receive. Do you just buy the stocks in an IRA?
Also, what do you do with the dividend income, do you buy more stocks?
Thanks for the help!
