My Annualized Dividend Income increased to $10,334 from $9,909 for the month of September. This means my dividend stocks will pay $10,334 in dividends over the next 12 months. I have passed my updated 2008 Dividend Income goal of $10,200 in yearly dividend income. I made additional purchases to our dividend stocks this month and I also used a 0% credit card offer for additional purchases towards the end of September. I did not have any dividend increases that were paid this month. My stock purchases will be smaller for the rest of the year and dividend income should not increase much.
Most of my stocks are held in my Zecco Trading account and the rest are DRIPs. The dividends from my stocks are reinvested but I am keeping track of the amount of income I could receive once I retire.

Way to go Div Guy,
$10,300 is what most americans would be making as greeters in retirement. And you also have plenty of time to increase this amount.
I was wondering if you could also add another chart to your blog which shows the progression of your annual dividend income in addition to the net worth chart..
DG:
Now that you have entered the five figure dividend income, it would be interesting and motivational to get a peak into your experiences, ups and downs with some numbers, your YOC, etc.,
To all Div-net members:
May be you guys can write a series of articles describing your experiences w.r.t. your overall progress, where one stands in long term vision, show some numbers to demonstrate ups and downs and how it keeps up with long term goal... Being an amateur div investor (one year old), I have selfish interest to learn from your experiences....
DT,
I am hesitant to put any specific numbers online where everyone could view my networth. Why expose myself to extra risk?
DGI
DGI,
Thanks, I need to find out how to create a graph of my income.
DT,
I am not sure what else I have to add. I have my taxable stock account updated each month as well as my dividend income.
Congratulations on passing the $10k milestone. I am told the 2nd $10k will be much easier than the first.
Best Wishes,
D4L
Nice one Div Guy - I'm looking forward to the day I cross $10k- I have a ways to go.
D4L,
I hope the economy picks up over the next 6 months so we can see additional dividend increases. We will have to see if there will be any more dividend cuts from the financial sector. I think I can get to the next 10K in less than 5 years.
Jake,
Thanks. It all starts with a good plan.
