    gsk will RAISE dividend!

glaxo's preferred pandemic H1N1 (swine) flu vaccine is viewed as the most effective - globally, governments have signed contracts for at least 300 million orders so far

swine flu vaccine seems to be yielding low output compared to typical seasonal flu vaccines, but glaxo's proprietary adjuvant method raises the yield AND their vaccine's effectiveness especially against mutations of the swine flu strain

(people may demand to get the glaxo vaccine over others)

    quote http://www.rep-am.com/News/429183.txt

Glaxo may reap 1.53 billion pounds ($2.53 billion) in swine flu-linked revenue in the next six months, according to Michael Leacock, a London-based analyst for RBS. That estimate doesn't take into account sales from a protective mask the company is developing. The U.K. drugmaker also makes Relenza, the second-biggest selling drug for people who have caught swine flu.

glaxo will raise its quarterly dividend to reflect this

    glaxo - great fundamentals

    good pipeline compared to peers

good dividend yield and it will be raised

Stiefel labs acquisition will be immediately accretive to earnings, with huge additional potential - a very timely buy

BMS (branded generics) acquisition will also be immediately accretive to earnings, a very nice purchase - this wasn't just a hedge purchase, it was an aggressive purchase to both take advantage of their competitors' drug patent expirations and weak drug pipelines

pharma hasn't participated much in this crazy rally and glaxo's fundamentals are great, and if there is any kind of flu panic, realistic or not, all the better!

Neither is ACAS. I plan to hold stocks that I think will recover and start paying a dividend in a year or two.

Manhattanbanker, I plan to hold GSK for the long term based on aging population, a good value play and a good drup pipeline.
